Description

2 Meter Sailplane for F3RES Class-With new Build Up Airfoil V-Tails.

The new build up V Tail builds in a fixture to ensure it is symmetrical and straight.  It uses a carbon fiber tube spar and small diameter carbon fiber rod for the leading edge.  The ruddervators are build up.  This design is light and very efficient.  It performs best with CG moved further back than the original by approximately 1/4″.  This also requires moving the tow hook with 1/8″ to 1/4″ from the back of the slot in the bottom of the fuse.

The Competition GS Wing has a new planform as its more elliptical, lower EDA, with longer mid and short tip panels.  It also features a lower only trailing edge that is scalloped.  It has more wing area than the standard and lite wings.  The V-Tail is offered with this wing as it provides the banking angles that result in low side slip drag.  The V-Tail is mounted on CF pegs and the boom comes pre drilled.

This is the lightest 2M offered and has the least amount of drag.  It also builds the fastest and it has proven itself to be very strong.

Contents

The kit contains the materials and instructions to build the complete structure.  Adhesives, covering, and basic tools, electrical components are not included.  All laser cut parts are completely cut out and grouped so the builder does not have to cut parts from a sheet.  Parts are organized to simplify preparation and assembly.
